Civil Disobedience

Civil Disobedience: peaceful resistance with acceptance of consequences.

Civil disobedience was a key part of the civil rights movement. MLK was a big fan of this type of protest which he got from his model, Mahatma Gandhi. Personally, I would have had a hard time staying peaceful. At first, I would have been okay, but when police bring out firehoses, teargas, and dogs, that would make peaceful resistance hard. Though I might have been able to start, I certainly could not have lasted so long as MLK and his followers
